In this edition of FutureTalentEd, we provide four downloadable lesson plans for use by careers leaders and teachers, or by young people and their parents/guardians, covering the core human skills so vital to the modern world of work. This time, we explore ‘finding personal purpose, ‘identifying character strengths’ (central to finding our purpose), ‘understanding learning styles’ (and how we learn best), plus ‘giving and receiving constructive feedback’. Each is accompanied by extension activities from Barclays LifeSkills.
Developed in partnership with leading employers, Future TalentEd magazine provides free downloadable lesson plans and resources for use by careers leaders and teachers, or by young people and their parents/guardians. These include many of the valuable ‘soft’ skills that we cover in our apprenticeship Level 3 and Level 5 Transformational Leadership Programmes. Supporting students to hone these skills will enable them to present themselves with confidence to employers and to thrive in the modern world of work.
