PODCAST: COVID-19: How has recruitment and employee wellbeing changed?

Kevin Hough and Sarah Dickson speak about the measures LV= and Hudson RPO implemented during the pandemic to pivot their recruitment strategy and tailor their wellbeing offering. Interview by Karam Filfilan.

Kevin Hough is head of resourcing, learning and talent at insurance provider LV=. Like many organisations, they were forced to move to virtual recruiting and onboarding during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. LV= also reassessed its wellbeing strategy in order to better meet the challenges its employees were facing, dealing with the sensitivities and challenges each individual faced.

 

Sarah Dickson is head of operations and implementations EMEA at Hudson RPO, where she offers expertise in the management, design and implementation of talent services. Sarah’s recruitment career spans more than 17 years across sectors as varied as financial services, telecommunications and utilities.

 

In this podcast, Kevin and Sarah discuss the unique recruitment challenges brought about by the pandemic, including how LV= moved to virtual recruitment and the impact it had on the organisation, both internally and externally. They also examine the importance of tailored wellbeing programmes, delving into what LV= and Hudson RPO offered employees and how they met expectations.
